Neronia

NERONIA steht für charismatischen, eigenständigen Progressive Rock.
Stilistisch liegt das Songmaterial zwischen Arena, Dream Theater und Yes.
Die anspruchvollen Kompositionen erschließen sich teilweise erst beim zweiten Hören.

Den Gesamtsound prägt das filigrane Zusammenspiel von Gitarre (Rüdiger Zaczyk) und Keyboards (Rainer Teucher), die herausragende 3-Oktaven Stimme von Falk Ullmann
sowie das konsequente Fundament von Bass (Lutz Beberweil) und Drums (Dirk Hartel).

Mit ‚Blue Circles’ ist ein ungewöhnlich vielfältiges Album entstanden, das die gesamte Bandbreite der musikalischen Einflüsse der Bandmitglieder widerspiegelt. Das Songmaterial reicht von druckvollen, komplexen Arrangements bis hin zur klassisch instrumentierten Akustik-Ballade.

The Story

NERONIA originated from the remaining members of the neoprogs Ulysses:
Mirko Rudnik (guit)
Ender Kilic (bass)
Robert Zoom (drums)
joined by the singer & producer Falk Ullmann.
Bass player Joerg Schaufert completed the band in 2001.
The demo ‘NERONIA 2002’ was recorded in their own studios.
The first album ‘Nerotica’ was released in 2003 produced by Falk Ullmann.
The recordings were supported by keyboard player Rainer Teucher.
’Nerotica’ perfectly demonstrates the melodic guitars of Mirko Rudnik
and the characteristic voice of Falk Ullmann.
The band played a sequence of very successful club gigs in 2004.
During a phase of musical re-orientation Mirko Rudnik decided
to leave the band in early 2005.

It took almost a year for NERONIA to regain musical energy and come back more powerful than before.

Still carrying the original progrock identity the band has started creating remarkable expressive song material and charismatic sound images.
Songwriting and recordings for the new album started in early 2007.
"Blue Circles" was released in september 2008.
With "Blue Circles" a special, multifaceted album has been created
that reflects the whole spectrum of musical influence of the band members.
The song material ranges from complex and pumping arrangements
to classical instrumental acoustics ballads.
