Pÿlon

Doom ist die Musik des Zerfalls, des Verlusts, der Trauer, der Depression.
Das Leben ist ein Rad der konstanten Annäherung an ein körperliches Ende. Ein herrlicher Nährgrund also, um sich dem Doom hinzugeben.

Pÿlon befinden sich in der Aufnahmephase für ihr zweites Album Th’ Eternal Wedding Band, nachdem das Songmaterial grundlegend auf drei Musiker umgeschrieben und verlangsamt wurde.

Ende 2002 von Matt mit Tinu gegründet, hat sich Pÿlon mit Jan nach einigen Mitgliederwechseln zu einem weltvergessenen und höchst idiosynkratischen Trio entwickelt.

Im ersten Jahr der pÿlonischen Existenz entstanden unter anderen die neun Songs des 2004er Erstlingswerks Natural Songbirth und der Sechsminüter "To My Brethren", dessen Anprangerung missionarischer Hypokrisie von dem dem Text zugrundeliegenden Gedicht aus Malawi übernommen und auf HEAVY METAL NATION veröffentlicht wurde.

Doom hat Zeit. Denn es gibt nichts, wonach zu streben es sich lohnt.

Doom: decay, loss, sorrow, ennui, depression, suicide
Life: the wheel of continuous approximation/convergence to the corporeal termination. A grand soil, hence, to indulge oneself in the depths of doom rock.

Pÿlon are in the final phases of recording their second album, Th’ Eternal Wedding Band, after the material was slowed down and re-written for three instrumentalists.

Founded by Matt and Tinu - later joined by Jan - at the tail-end of 2002, the surmounting pÿlonian tendency towards idiosyncratic doom and desert rock compositions resulted in the recording of the track To My Brethren, Pÿlon's contribution to the Swiss metal compilation HEAVY METAL NATION.

Further participations in German and Italian compilation projects as well as the release of the EP Days Of Sorrow heralded in 2006. But those are but the seven trumpets to announce Th’ Eternal Wedding Band.

Doom takes its time as there is nothing worth striving for.
